[@#13] - Where to train as a Assassin?
[@#14] - Assassin Hints and Tips
[@#15] - Assassin Skill Information
[@#16] - Equipment Guide - Researched from Hidden Street
[@#17] - Item Making Guide
[@#18] - Hermit Information and skills

To use the index simply press ctrl+f to bring up the find command, and enter the [@#X] into it to find the section you need quickly.

The Walk-through - The Thief FAQ[@#3]

The part of the FAQ is dedicated on how to spend your AP and SP effectively and the best methods for making those levels as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is a comprehensive strategy and build walk-through which should answer any questions you have.

Rolling for your stats: [@#4]

Just role str and int 4/4 the rest doesnt matter

LV30 +5 DEX

Thief SP Guide [@#6]
Spending your SP correctly will make your life as a Thief much more enjoyable, and hopefully a fair bit easier too, so heres my advice as to how to spend it.

Lvl 10: 1SP------>1 Nimble Body
Lvl 11: 3SP------>2 Nimble Body,1 Keen Eyes
Lvl 12: 3SP------>3 Keen Eyes
Lvl 13: 3SP------>3 Keen Eyes
Lvl 14: 3SP------>1 Keen Eyes,2 Lucky Seven
Lvl 15: 3SP------>3 Lucky Seven
Lvl 16: 3SP------>3 Lucky Seven
Lvl 17: 3SP------>2 Lucky Seven,keep 1 SP
Lvl 18: 3SP------>Keep 3 SP
Lvl 19: 3SP------>Keep 3 SP
Lvl 20: 3SP------>Use Your 10 SP on Lucky Seven
Lvl 21: 3SP------>3 Disorder
lvl 22: 3SP------>3 Darksight
Lvl 23: 3SP------>3 Nimble Body
Lvl 24: 3SP------>3 Nimble Body
Lvl 25: 3SP------>3 Nimble Body
Lvl 26: 3SP------>3 Nimble Body
Lvl 27: 3SP------>3 Nimble Body
Lvl 28: 3SP------>2 Nimble Body,1 DarkSight OR Disorder
Lvl 29: 3SP------>3 DarkSight OR Disorder
Lvl 30: 3SP------>3 DarkSight OR Disorder

The reason for saving your SP to invest them later on is because an active skill doubles in cost at level 11 or level 16 (depending on the Max level of the skill), hence if you save the points up in invest them in one go you wont be stuck with an ineffective Lucky Seven.

If you are following this guide like its stated then your Thief skills should be:

Nimble Body:20(Max)
Lucky Seven:20(Max)
Keen Eyes:8(Max)
Darksight:10 OR 3
Disorder:10 OR 3
Double Stab:0

Total SP Spent: 61

Where to train as a Thief? [@#7]

Training Spots:

Level 1-10 Maple Island
Level 10-18 The Tree that Grew
Level 18-21 Green Mushrooms or continue with Slimes at the Tree that Grew
Level 21-30 PQ(Slow when begining but once u has the correct stars and lvl 25 above,it will be fast)
or
Level 21-25 Green OR Hornies Mushrooms at Ellenia
Level 25-30 Hornies Mushrooms

Thief hints and tips [@#8]

When you are lvl 1-10,I do say Maple Island is the best place to train or u can party with people at Victoria Island if u think train alone is slow.After u have change job,u can either train at Ellenia OR outside Kerning City until you reach lvl 15.When you reach lvl 15,i think the best place to train is Slime Tree.
Then,you can start hitting green mushrooms when u lvl 18 but i suggest u stick to slimes until you lvl 21.Then u can either PQ or kill green musrooms and hornies mushrooms.After you lvl 25,more hornies mushrooms is for you or stick to PQ until lvl 30

Finally your a Assassin!! [@#10]

After reaching level 30, you will be very experienced in Maple Story. Go back
to the Fusion Jazz Club where you became a Rogue so very long ago and talk to
the Night Road. He'll tell you to talk to the Thief Instructor found at The
Construction Site North of Kerning. Talking to him leads you to a cavern
filled with Blue Mushrooms and Cold Eyes. They are all modified so you can
kill them, so you don't have to worry. They can only drop Dark Marbles or
nothing. After collecting 30 of them (change channels if one is too hard to
use), talk to the instructor. He'll give you a Proof of Hero to take back to
the Night Road. This took me about 15 Mana Potions and 5 White Potions so
be prepared with those items! Congratulations! You are an Assassin now!

Assassins AP Build [@#11]

As you can see,the distribution for dex and luk is still the same ONLY until lvl 40!!!!After lvl 40,you should distribute ur AP like this: put 5 AP every 5 Level into Dex,the rest go into Luk.Example:-

Lvl41:+5 Luk Lvl43:+5 Luk Lvl45:+5 Dex
Lvl42:+5 Luk Lvl44:+5 Luk

Lv35: 70 DEX, 117 LUK
Lv40: 80 DEX, 132 LUK
Lv45: 85 DEX, 152 LUK
Lv50: 90 DEX, 172 LUK
Lv55: 95 DEX, 192 LUK
Lv60: 100 DEX, 212 LUK
Lv65: 105 DEX, 232 LUK
Lv70: 110 DEX, 252 LUK

*This is base stats,it don't count the extra stats your equipment adds....

Hermit Information and skills [@#18]

Hermits get plenty of useful abilities as well. For one, Meso Up is an ability that increases the amount of mesos you gain. Alchemist is an ability that increases the efficiency of potions, so it is easier to heal yourself. Flash Jump is a cool ability that lets you jump once in mid-air. Hermit's best ability, however, is Shadow Partner. This spawns a shadow that attaches to you and mimics everything you do. If you Lucky 7, it also does so. When using skills, it only does 50% damage, but it can still use Critical Throw, and 100% more damage per Lucky 7 is nothing to scoff at. Shadow Partner also makes every normal attack into a Lucky 7, and then it does 80% damage. This is an incredibly useful ability
Alchemist: Passive (Level 20). The effectiveness of various healing items and the duration of ability changing items you use will increase. But Elixir items' effects will not increase.

Meso Up: Passive (Level 20). The amount of Mesos dropped by monsters killed by party members in range is increased.

Shadow Partner: Active (Level 30). Summon a shadow partner that mimics your actions for a set time, or until its HP reach 0.

Shadow Web: Active (Level 30). Turn your own shadow into a spider web to capture an enemy, preventing it from being able to move, cast magic, and use skills.

Avenger: Active (Level 30). Expend many MP and Shuriken in order to create a huge shuriken to throw at an enemy. The shuriken will rip through the enemy and keep going, able to hit up to 6 enemies.

Flash Jump: Active (Level 20). Execute a second jump while already in the air. The higher your Skill Level, the further the second jump will take you.

If you need any other guide i write it up
